Walking field trip

The organizers are planning a walking field trip (excursion) "Architectural Chicago" with a special guide on Sunday, April 29, 10:00 am. The cost per person will be $16  (paid in cash at the time of registration at UIC).

The tour will be conducted by Chicago Architecture Foundation (CAF) volunteer docents who have completed extensive training about Chicago’s architectural history. This 2-hour walking tour will cover architecture in the Chicago downtown area where the history of skyscrapers began at the end of the 19th century. You will see late 19th and early 20th century buildings by Louis Sullivan and Daniel Hudson Burnham, Art Deco buildings of the 1930’s  as well as modern work of innovative architects like Mies van der Rohe and Helmut Jahn.

During the registration process  we ask you to indicate if you will be attending the tour so that we can guarantee you the place in the tour (we have to pay to CAF for the tour in advance). Indication of attendance also will serve as a commitment to us that you will pay for the tour at the time of your registration.

PowerPoint Projector

During the registration we cordially ask you to indicate whether you will require a PowerPoint Projector for your presentation.
